Cookies and local storage — Rigr AI

This is the complete list. Nothing on this site stores anything in your browser that is not on this page. Two of these identify a browser across visits and are called out as such; the rest are settings, counters, and one-time flags.

Cookies we set

`rigr_vid`identifies a browser	Set the first time you use one of the public demos — not by browsing the site. It is how we count your free runs for the day, how we tell a returning visitor from a new one in our own records, and how a note left for you in a demo reaches the right browser. It is an opaque random value: not a name, an account, or your IP address. Clearing your cookies resets it, and it does not follow you to another device. What the demos record.	400 days
`rigr_session`	Signs you in to the admin console or to vetted-access project material. Only ever set after you follow a sign-in link. If you have never signed in, you have never had this cookie.	7 days

Both are HttpOnly and Secure: they are sent only over HTTPS and cannot be read by JavaScript running on the page — including ours. That is deliberate. It means a script injected into this site could not lift your visitor id or your session.

Cookies set by services we use

Local storage

These stay in your browser and are never sent to us as cookies are. They exist so the site does not repeat itself at you.

Key	Purpose
`rigr_first_touch`	The page you first arrived on and the site that referred you, recorded once. If you later fill in a form, it is sent with it so we can tell which page brought you. Search engines strip the search term from the referrer, so without this we cannot tell a visitor from a search from one who typed the address.
`rigr_demo_use_count`, `rigr_demo_ladder_rung`	How many demo runs you have done and which note you have already been shown, so the same message is not repeated.
`rigr_demo_trial_submitted`	Stops the trial invitation appearing once you have taken it.
`rigr_le_note_shown`	A note about sensitive material, shown at most once.
`rigr_inbox_dismissed`	Remembers that you dismissed a message left for you.
`rigr_consent`	Your answer to the analytics question, so you are not asked again on every page. Kept here rather than in a cookie, because setting a cookie to record that someone declined cookies would be absurd.

Changing your mind

If you are in the UK, the EEA or Switzerland you were asked before anything was measured. You can change that answer at any time.

Turning it off stops any further measurement from this browser immediately. It does not delete what Google has already recorded — for that, write to [email protected] and we will make the request.

What we do not do

No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no ad networks.
No sale or sharing of anything here with data brokers.
No attempt to identify you personally from browsing. We know a browser has been back; we do not know who you are unless you tell us.

Clearing them

Clearing site data for rigr.ai in your browser removes every item on this page. Your free demo runs for the day reset with it, and any note left for you becomes unreachable, because the only thing connecting it to you is the identifier you just deleted.
